Bryneven Primary Lesson: On Off Switches in Purple Mash with Grade 3

A very ambitious 14th of November with Bryneven Primary School Grade 3 Lesson; it explores using the 'on or off' switch -with a 'zero or one' being assigned to a variable. This number variable helps to keep track of when the switch is either on or off. The lesson indicate that the variable should be named appropriately, as this assists one to make sense of one's code. We introduced the 'if else condition' using the white background, to show an on condition. The variable is given a one (number variable) to show a switch from the off state to on. The 'else part' of the condition provides an understanding of a state of not off i.e., designating that the switch is on. Mr Bradley teaches for the Gauteng Department of Education.
